Catholic Communities in
THE AMERICAS

This section will be developed in consulation with people who come forward with a special interest or expertise in a particular nation or region. For example, Dan Onley has had a lifelong interest in the history and destiny of Cuba. So he's started a page focused on the pastoral future of our island neighbor in the Caribbean, where the recent visit of Pope John Paul II has begun to make a tangible difference.

"The Americas" range from the newly-independent native peoples north of the Canadian provinces to the southernmost tip of Argentina. Two large continents, a strife-ridden isthmus, dozens of island nations, and over a century of USA meddling as well mission efforts . . .

Positions Open!

We have many email and some shortwave radio contacts with Catholic missionaries in Central and South America. Some have web access, many others do not (yet!) This section needs a knowledgeable Moderator who can at least pass along trustworthy links to internet resources which you have previewed and genuinely respect. The pay is great: exactly what you already earn in your ministry! If you would like to participate in this Global Challenge to U.S. Parishes endeavor, please email us:
